These Terms of Service govern your use of Elder Companion and the Indy companion service. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

Our Service

Elder Companion provides a personal companion assistant (Indy) that helps you manage daily activities through friendly conversation, reminders, and information management. Indy is not a medical device, emergency service, or substitute for professional care.

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be 18 or older to use Elder Companion. One person may be the Primary user of up to 5 care circles.

Subscription & Billing

Elder Companion offers paid subscription plans. Billing is handled securely through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. We provide 30 days advance notice before any price changes take effect.

Your Data

You own your data. You can export or delete it at any time. If you cancel your subscription, you have 30 days to export your information before it is permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.

Limitations

Indy does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or emergency response. If you need emergency assistance, please call 911 or your local emergency number directly. Indy can help you reach your emergency contacts but is not a replacement for emergency services.

AI Boundaries

Indy always identifies as an AI assistant. Indy will never claim to be human, will never pretend to have emotions or experiences it does not have, and will always be transparent about its capabilities and limitations.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you and ask you to review and accept the updated terms before continuing to use the service.
